SURFS UP, LIGHTS UP

With clean lines and elegant design choices, this surfside Mount Maunganui four-bedroom, three-bathroom home captured the hearts of judges far and wide. The property has won a host of prestigious awards, including the 2020 Registered Master Builders House of the Year Gold Award, and the National Kitchen and Bathroom Association Supreme Kitchen and Kitchen Lighting Design Award. Our challenge was to seamlessly blend high-tech lighting solutions into this superb natural aesthetic. To do this, we integrated warm LED Strip lighting over the coolness of the Matarazzo marble, highlighted natural timber tones with high colour rendering fittings and lent a welcoming glow to the home.

“Having a healthy home with soft, warm, contemporary lighting was an important goal for us. Liv Light did an excellent job of ensuring the lighting was good quality and the EMFs emitted from the electrics were minimised around sleeping areas. We also wanted to showcase individual areas and have different lighting options depending on the mood or activity of the space - for example, flattering lighting in the bathroom! None of my out-of-the-box requests were too tricky for Dave. He was always up for the challenge, a pleasure to deal with, had an outstanding work ethic, and brought his keen passion for lighting to our project.”
