Project Description
Surrounded by leafy established trees, this exquisite Te Puna city-fringe haven is tucked away in a pocket of nature, hidden down a long driveway. Brendon Gordon Architects and Gudsell Builders merged the environmental beauty of these idyllic surroundings into the exterior styling and interior design, featuring natural timbers throughout. Our lighting design journey began with a transformation of the entranceway, peppering small strategically placed garden spikes along the path to welcome visitors inside. Strategic use of both down and up lighting add to the indoor-outdoor flow. Inside, careful placement of wall washing LED strip lighting highlight spectacular cedar finishing, draw the eye to key features, and add warmth to modern, open plan living.
