A FUSION OF FUNCTION & STYLE

A deviation from our usual residential portfolio, this project for KX Pilates required us to design a flexible lighting system that could be easily dimmed and independently switched between uplighting and downlighting. As a functional, commercial space, the client required high levels of uniform lighting with clean lines and minimal visible wiring – a challenge when working with an exposed ceiling. This was achieved using long LED extrusion that provide even and consistent downlighting throughout the studio space, as well as extensive uplighting onto the exposed white concrete beams and sound deadening panels. In the changing rooms, recessed downlights were positioned next to a stainless steel wall to open up the space, while also softening their effect in confined quarters. Finally, we specified a Bluetooth lighting control system and guided the client through setup and integration to ensure a seamless result and total control at the click of a button.
